Patch Tuesday for Microsoft and Adobe

Its the second Tuesday of the month so that means its Patch Tuesday for Microsoft and Adobe.  Its the time of the month where computer users are prompted to apply updates, reboot and click on little icons in the lower right hand corner of the screen that are hard for even the best eyes to make out.  Patch Tuesday for Microsoft and Adobe is a pain for all PC users.

Microsoft and Adobe both separately issues a boatload of updates to fix security holes in their software that bad guys are using to get around anti-virus programs and infect your computer with a virus.

Adobe pushed out updates to fix issues with Adobe Acrobat, Reader, Flash and Shockwave.  Microsoft issues 14 patches to fix 47, YES 47 SECURITY VULNERABILITIES in Windows, Office, Internet Explorer and SharePoint.  4 of the 14 patches were labeled “Critical”, meaning that the bad guys know about the issues and are currently using them to their advantage.  Adobe’s Flash update fixes at least four flaws in the popular media player.
